I've listened to the 1st 30 mins just now online

And to be fair anybody who thinks that Griffin handled it well is a complete baffoon.

Yes they asked him strong questions...

The questions, that all the nation apart from the severe right wingers, want asking.

Griffin will be shown for the idiot that he is.

    Well, he's definitely no Hitler.

I was just waiting for a mini putsch.

Joking aside, I felt Griffin handled the questions poorly. For someone who is meant to be the leader of a political party, his explanation and answering to most of the questions posed, were weak, evasive and generally straight up poor. I don't hate the man, but I viewed this as his chance to set the record straight and he did nothing of the type. He didn't instill any confidence in me, which is what he was meant to be doing ultimately and he shrivelled under the lights.

He got his time on TV.

Sure, he got grilled, but he knew this was going to happen.

    He blew it.

If there was any chance, any remote chance that the BNP were ever going to succeed. Then it just went off air with Mr Griffin.

    Idiot.

Its like going to an interview for a great job as a lifeguard but in the interview you didn't even know what a lifevest was.

I really don't believe, that he believes a word that he is saying.

    He's just a complete mouthpiece.

    Hot-air.

    That's the trouble

He doesn't believe what he is saying. He knows what he actually believes won't sell so he's trying to peddle some watered down version that is just full of holes. It doesn't stand up to scrutiny because B*ll*cks never does.

    I'm still listening to it

And I can understand why people are dismayed with British politics but I also understand that a larger portion of this country is thicker than we have ever thought.

I'm upto 30 minutes into the program on BBC Iplayer

and my favourite bit so far is Jack Straw squirming at the immigration problem question at 28 minutes onwards.

JUST ANSWER HIS QUESTION JACK AND ADMIT THERE'S HUGE PROBLEMS WITH IMMIGRATION IN THIS COUNTRY.

The BNP are feeding on this, admit there's a huge problem and attempt to sort it. Not all BNP voters are Nazi's, they're just people that are disgruntled and frustrated with Labour ignoring this.

By the way, I'm no BNP supporter by a long way but the amount of votes the BNP idiots get goes to show how bad Labour have dealt with the problem.

totally agree with you there, im 19, havnt voted yet, but this is baically because i dont believe i understand polictics enough and i believe all MPs are liars, ok maybe not liars but they are good at making the right noises and avoiding direct questions with extremely vague and pointless answers.

i would never vote for the bnp, that is something i am sure of, however the immigration problem is something that does worry me. im not racist in any way shape or form, i just believe there has got to be a method somewhere to reduce the numbers. obviously as you say this is something the bnp have picked up on and have got many people to vote for them because of this weakness in the other parties. the less educated basically think ''we need less foreigners, bnp said they would reduce the numbers, ill give them my vote''

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
    The only problem is...

...that it was so one-sided, and Griffin made to look so completely inept, that he'll claim it was fixed and edited by the left-wing BBC to make him look stupid, and the usual list of 'not racist but' people will be queueing up to believe him.

    I agree

I did like the reply to Jack Straws question regarding the 2nd world war and how Jacks relation refused to fight the nazis.

Did Griffin really believe it would be any different?

Surely he knew what would happen.

And if he didn't, it just shows how inept he is.

    Clean your ears out then...

and get your eyes checked. There was at least two.

But instead, why not blame the BBC for being "ultra-leftist". What a load of old B*ll*cks that is.

    Jack Straw was just APALLING

Despite the presence of Nick Griffin, I think Straw's performance was one of the worst I have ever seen on the program. Baroness Warsi was quite correct to point out that he was is COMPLETE DENIAL about the current (immigration) situation...

He refused to fight a war, don't confuse that with supporting the Nazis!

That point was as irrelevant as Griffin's father being a RAF pilot. So fecking what?
