    reckon we'd get more than that for flinders

    might only get £400k up front but even a tribunal would give us more than that.

    they have to take into account potential value and other things such as international appearances...

    to say we paid £150k for hayes i would be expecting a lot more than that for flinders because of his potential and his call up to the under 20's.

    Mind, the 'can't wait for Scott to leave' attitude baffles me somewhat.

    That said, if we can get £1mill + cash now, not piss about getting it in dribs & drabs, then from a purely business side then sell him. But it has to be on OUR terms though. He's under contract.

    In theory, yes, in reality not even close

    Otherwise there would be a set price for how long a player was at a club. There isn't. Prices vary wildly and quite rightly the criteria they use are things such as number of appearances, goals, international caps and repuatation in the game.
