I hate the idea of using PPG. The whole point of playing a full season is that things get more exciting towards the end of it. The last quarter of the season isn't at all the same as the first three quarters, and I think it's the biggest fudge of all to pretend that it is.

Play out the season when it's safe to resume (even if it means cancelling or truncating 20/21), or abandon entirely.

It's harsh to relegate anyone in the current circumstances. There's 9 games left and no-one is mathematically down as things stand. Clubs are going to struggle enough after all this, without losing their status as well. It's a big drop in revenue regardless of the division and may push some clubs into administration.

The EFL have some big decisions to make, if they use PPG for promotion and relegation then they will certainly open themselves up for legal action from at least 6 clubs in each division. Given the fact that they have found it difficult to make any decision in the past I am not confident that a solution will be found.

PPG ( points per game ) have I misunderstood if so can someone explain.
As far I can tell. the difference in league positions would only affect sheff utd to go above wolves in the premier. Into Europe.

The money based on positions is that still in place. Then I slightly understand. But not a primary case for me. Just divvy up equally.

    None in the championship.

It would jettison Wycombe into the play offs above Peterborough (if indeed and play offs are considered ) In league 1.

League 2 seemingly sorted in their eyes.

I don’t see it as any fairer to 90 odd percent of clubs as if the leagues were finished now or if it was decided on positions as they stand.
I would prefer null and void.
If not, the season has to be finished. With all the problems that creates. Re contracts etc. Too many issues to overcome. So for me is dead in the water for league 1 and the championship.
