I'm bored of it. These votes will go on forever so let's just get it over with, but once Scotland is independent it should not get any preferential treatment compared to any other country. If Scotland plans to join the EU there will need to be a hard border so that should be planned for and implemented straight away.

It will continue to bore you for some time to come as I honestly believe this govt will dig its heels in and deny any votes in the near future.
Don’t see Scotland asking for any preferential treatment only what it feels we deserve to get. And as for the hard border then that was something the English voted for when voting to leave the EU so really there should not be any complaints.

Look forward to this govt implementing anything that’s any good to the ordinary folk. Don’t worry about preferential treatment, the Tories only give that to their own

Pretty much my take on things. It should never have come to this, but I understand why it has and I'm fully behind them. I'll also be first in the queue for my Scottish passport by grandparentage, and I hope I'll be able to pass it on to my wife and child as well, as the current UK passport is now fcking useless for anyone who wants the freedom to integrate into the wider European community.

The amount of Scots that pop to England to holiday it's going to be a pain for them with passport control on the border and having to exchange their brand new currency over to pounds and pence.

Ffs dreamboy. I’m coming down to Barnsley on Thursday and found myself in the bank today to get some of your foreign currency for my visit as your pubs and shops decline my Scottish notes.

    Not this old rubbish again.

    1. It’s simply a matter of time before the UK is broken up with Scotland and N Ireland going their own way. That will be a truly wonderful day for lots of people. The UK has been broken for years and shows no sign of getting better.
    2. An English dominated Westminster Parliament would be truly idiotic to deny the Scots determining their own destiny…..so I’ve no doubt that’s what they will do.
    3. If the Scots can’t do better as an independent nation than in a UK context, they really should pack up and end it all. They are in a dreadful position at the moment. A country with a different (better) set of values and morals who still understand what the word community means.

Good luck Ian. It’s on its way whether in a year, 5 years or 10.

That's legal tender! :) For what it's worth I like the Scots, always have. Good people.

Credit to them, they've thought of a policy more stupid, reckless, damaging to poor and working class people and suicidal than Brexit, quantitative easing and the lockdowns put together. Some effort that.

Scottish politicians are just as crazy not on power with b.j though. They even have mps from the snp and other mps arguing over the old firm. Acusing eachother for not calling sectarian out.

Wish them luck with what ever they choose to do if they get s referendum though

In my opinion there shouldn’t be another vote until the opinion polls show a sizeable majority in favour of independence. It should have been agreed a while ago that as soon as a trend for separation is there for all to see, you go to the vote. Something like 70% over a sustained period. Otherwise it’s a waste of money and the outcome will be so close that the country will end up divided. So no real winners. I deal with a lot of sectors and business owners and I don’t know any that have a good word to say about the SNP. Being an Englishman and living up here for 30 years, I have always chosen to stay quiet on the matter. What I don’t like is the way the subject divides families and friends. It won’t be enjoyable that’s for sure. What is clear is that the SNP can’t really exist unless they constantly push for independence. In a way Scotland is stuck and might just be sleep waking into a one political party world.

Enough of Jimmy Krankie and her second referendum why not give all English voters the chance to vote and get shut of the sweaties once and for all. Hoisted by their own petard. See how long it would be before they'd come crawling back.

The jocks always f uk things up, if they were left to themselves they'd f uk things up, hating the English gives them something to do, they reckon leaving UK ( england), would solve everything, they're government would eventually s- hite on them too.
Nicola tells them what they want to hear.

Yep. Shes wasting millions which could be benefitial to people of scotland. The polls havent moved. People fall for her lies but i dont think she really wants it. She will be the guilt of loss jobs. Change of currency. Hard boarders etc.

Its easy to be mad at the circumstances in the uk as we all are. Its a mess. Scotland potentially could be even more in a mess financially if they went independent

Im irish originaly. We always say we want to see a United ireland but whilst theirs division its pointless. I wouldnt want the old days back before i was born. Never.
