To be fair if a meteorite hit and all the other footballers in the world were killed then it could happen though we would probably play Johnny X the Invisible Striker from Viz first.

I was just contemplating transforming Sam Winnall into a left back and I would have got away with it too if it wasn't for you pesky kids.

Tha not right in the head pal...

Please, for your own sanity stop these daft irrational campaigns that you like to embark on against fan favorites at Oakwell. It doesn't make you look clever, or different.

As much as alot of people on here would hate to admit it, there are times you make some really valid points and observations. Unfortunately, these are overlooked due to the amount of irrational rubbish you spout about the players the majority take great pleasure in watching.

They are fan favorites for a reason. The vast, vast majority really rate them as great players for the level BFC are playing at. Nobody is saying that they are world beaters, but for the job they are employed to do, they are very effective.

I can only assume that the players in question have offended you personally as your hit list include a player who was consistently good for us over a 10 year period, a goalkeeper who went from a world class performance on his debut, to being one of the best keepers in the division he played. And a player who has got 18 goals by the end of March. Either that or your a really **** WUM, as you dont really wind up, just bore the living **** out of people.

    Anyways, You Reds!

I think Nyatanga would be good up front or maybe we should give Townsend a try. Any one but our top goal scorer please, I don't like him. For no other reason than everybody else does

Super Sam must have ignored Hemsie at training, or swore at an opponent on the field of play.

Only if you'd supplied him with a balaclava with Owen Archdeacon's face on the front.

why do you need to put so much detail as to why you think something on here. I put that and I think if anyone thought that they would understand why.

We've not controlled midfield for a while now. Second half Coventry game apart (I missed the Walsall game but from what i've seen heard there it didn't happen either) and it's something that would help a lot in games.

I don't want to see David Fox or Jimmy Ryan running the game in midfield , I want to see Barnsley players doing this. How do you do this. Get that extra man in and control the flow through coming through midfield. Jimmy Ryan and David Fox....... started a lot of their players from deep between their midfield and defence. Scowen IMO's really good in their. Good with and without the ball. Likes to run at the oppo's defence and thats what he did yesterday before the Hammill chance.

If Barnsley can control the midfield they will build pressure. If they can build pressure they will get a lot of second ball in good area's.

Watkins will stretch the play all day long. Run the channels, and push their defence back which will force their team backwards. Which fits in with the controlling the game and getting the loose ball.

Intern that allows Hammill and Isgrove to get more one on ones.

But whether that's correct or not, Phil, you'd have to be brave to change it up at this stage.

We played five in midfield half the season and we were rooted to the bottom losing every week. We're winning a silly amount of games now, playing 4-4-2. I did however feel we looked better yesterday once Scowen replaced Fletcher, and we had five in midfield. It's definitely an option. But unfortunately for you mate, Winnall starts in either system. :)

Heckingbottoms got to be brave Whitey.

What happened in the Autumn wasn't down to formation. that was things not going for us and confidence. Johnson must have played 3/4 different formations in that run.

Imagine having Watkins Scowen Isgrove Hammill as a front four. Off the ball you'd hope they would win so much ball in the oppositions half it would create large periods of pressure. At league one level teams crack under that.

What have you got against Winnall; our most prolific goalscorer?

He needs to be brave? No he doesn't, he needs to keep the team doing what it's been doing for the past 3 months and you don't do that by making changes for the sake of it.

Besides, playing midfielders instead of a striker who reliably scores 1 in 2 isn't brave, it's mental. Properly ******* mental.

Surprised people aren't more outraged about him leaving Isgrove out. Proper unsung hero that guy. We miss him when he ain't on.

I expect players to do the simple things.

Anyone can have a good season. Michael Smith and Andrew Williams had a good year last year. Things go for the given player but they aren't good attackers. Williams I think scored 21 last season.

So do I. I expect strikers to score goals.

    Sam Winnall last three seasons:

    23 goals in 49 games

    13 goals in 34 games

18 goals (so far) in 45 games

    That's not one good season.

You can argue all you want, Phil, but you've chosen Sam as the player to replace Bobby in your affections.
