Point being made is that: A) being turned down by an experienced quality manager (who no doubt O'Driscol is) - that's not a good thing, and tends to give a snap shot of the condition of the club (if we didn't already have a fair idea) B) we've been badly managed and we shouldn't have expectations that what were offering is likely to attract any of the quality names that have been thrown around. And that C) going public on not getting our first choice is not a clever move. Anybody remember when the F.A. Gave Steve McClaren the England job? Who wants to be the bloke we took as second choice? It'll not be a proud established manager put it that way. All this talk about the unfair stick our 'board' take. FFS - we're rooted to the bottom and the club is run like a charity jumble sale. It's not enough that they have the best interests of the club at heart, nor that they work hard and mean well(which I'm sure they do) - it's a professional game. When are we going to demand something more than survival?
No it doesnt speak volumes about anything - He has only jiust lost his previous job and doubless has some decent compensation so doesnt need to grab the first job offered Wolves job has just become availlable for example The fact he has turned us down is disappointing but people turn down jobs all the time it doesnt mean the next candidate we ask will turn us down as well and its hardly the boards fault. lets see what happens next week - SoD wasnt my preference thiough I would have been happy with him but anyone but Blackwell
