Good for them. I'm not a betting man anyway so means nowt to me. Long way to go yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
small book. 50p e/w is going to change any odds on a market this small o dismal......... chuff me sideways no thanks
Only SkyBet, Victor and Paddy showing. Sometimes these things can snowball without any substance - a speculative punt prompts the bookie to take defensive action on the price, others then jump in with the firms still going long, etc, etc. All three of these books have lurched down within a short space of time, so who knows?
Hignett / Branson / redfearn/ butcher/ Driscoll all odds on fav before we set flickers on . Similar when we set Danny on too
Id have him, no probs.... we've had one or two flounce off cos Danny went...Now your saying your off if SOD gets it Nobody cares mate go or stay..
Definitely don't want O'Dreary. He turned us down for Brizzle, then look how it turned out for him. He wouldn't even be in my top ten of targets.
I care. That's the point. And if you think this little club can afford to lose supporters then you're as barmy as the bloke sacking managers every season at the first sign of bother.
Not my ideal candidate to be perfectly honest, although there are a lot worse that we could end up with. Does slightly grate me that he thought we were a lost cause when he decided to join Bristol City yet a few months later he took them down and we stayed up.
If we give the job to SOD then I won't be alone in losing more faith in our board. Whitey hit the nail on the head with his reasons. He did an horrendous job at Bristol City in relegating them and if we think the football we've watched for months is dour then we've not seen anything yet. I'd go as far as to say we will sell less season tickets for next season with him in charge than we would have had we kept Danny and only finished the season fifth from bottom.
Can't see it being SOD, bullsh1t Ben said they wanted someone to excite the fans and get the enthusiasm back. But then again he says one thing and they do the complete opposite so aye it probably will be Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
To be fair to the club, what they might want to believe they can get and who they can realistically get might be poles apart. The possible scenario I see here - SO'D quietly tells a few people he's taking the Barnsley job next week who then lump a load of money on it causing the bookies to react.
I honestly think we will not see a new face till summer caretakers till the end of the season, then maybe a new face.
