RE: Why? nt I dont think it needs any explanation. Why fork out £300 in one go when you can effectively spread the cost over the season. With such a small financial incentive (saving of £45) people would just turn up and pay their money on the day.
Freeze Matchday Prices And........ also the season tickets. But have an incentive where if you pay in full before a certain date (similar to a early bird offer) you get like 40 quid off or something. I am sure if a typical adult season ticket was in the region of 250 and not 300, that we would see many people returning.
RE: Freeze Matchday Prices And........ Too late to talk early bird prices now. Most clubs have been offering these since March (Palace since November!)
Good for the club, A season ticket though helps when you want to get tickets for the big games.

Think £300 instead of £275 sounds reasonable considering Rotherham and Doncaster prices are higher than that. I think match day tickets should be reduced and that there should be no category A and B matches. Match day tickets £18 - £20 depending on where in the ground and a discount of £2 if tickets bought in advance. For example: ST £300 works out at just over £13 per game so match day ticket of £18 per game = £414 £114 profit. less £2 discount each time = £368 which is £68 profit.
RE: Think £300 instead of £275 sounds reasonable agreed the categorisation of games is complete nonsense.
It is silly because the crowd will automatically be bigger for a match between BFC and a "better" club than for a "smaller" one so why should anyone have to pay extra to go to watch?
it's simply so............... the club makes loads more money-they know the games will be popular so milk it for all it's worth
£10 a dance in the Dollar, Rhino etc. So I've been, errr, told. I think you've accidentally strayed into the Omega or Sandys. It's a bit more expensive there, cocker.
Spartacus-is this insider knowledge re the board's view-my guess is they like the money up front-if they reduce the discount they may lose out-people will be more likely to "cherry pick" the matches they go to-I think about 8% max across the board would be OK given thst we have stopped up
It's still too expensive Laura Blackburn Rovers have knocked 25% from the price of their season tickets. I think that makes it to cheaper watch premier league football than it does to watch the championship at oakwell. You might be surprised at the number of people where I work (Huddersfield) who went to watch games at Blackburn & Bolton last season. If yhou consider that some of them have youngsters who want to watch the "stars", you have recipe for disaster where lower league teams teams are concerned. It's would be very brave of Gordon to sanction a price reduction, but it will have to happen eventually.
RE: It's still too expensive Laura Yeah you might as well pay 15 quid to watch Wigan against teams like Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Than spend 22 quid to watch Barnsley against teams like Bristol City and Scnuthorpe. I think we should follow the lines of Blackburn.
