RE: Season Ticket Sales Well Down on last year

Last season with the introduction of free child ST`s fans went early to get that spare seat next to them or to move to where there was room for them and their kids to be sat together.

This season fans are holding on to their money whilst nearer deadline day knowing their seats are guarenteed. Plenty will renew from today onwards, however, I believe there will be a Davey effect on sales and no free friendlies will mask that fact.

Just phoned and re-ordered a couple of ours. £2 fee over the phone beats a couple of hours queuing on a Saturday!

I doubt we've sold the same amount as last year

Or the club wouldn't be bothering sending so many letters out asking us to renew

Lets hope those who get a free childs ticket don't use it for an adult all season as someone admitted to doing so last season. As good as thieving from the club.

How did they get in with that ticket? Last season I had an under 18 season ticket, and used to rip the ticket out before I got to the turnstile. They used to ask to see my season ticket book most of the time.

Three each to both season ticket holders in our house.

I wonder how many season ticket holders share a home and how much money would be saved just sending renewals out to one member of each household

    They can't win.

People complain at the lack of a marketing strategy and communications and then when they get f.cking letters. Unreal.

But then people would complain at that.

'I'm not getting a season ticket because Paddy C didn't send me a letter'

I was just wondering whether the savings would be in the hundreds of pounds or whether we're talking thousands

Or use it just for extra arm room because their kid doesn`t want to go anymore. Yet still renew their kids ticket.

No more full houses at Oakwell.
