Part of letter sent to BFC last March We all know a ST works out cheaper than match day tickets but for a few people, those like Kevin, who work shifts or those that live a fair distance from Barnsley can’t get to every home game would it be possible to implement any of the following? A reduction on the price of match day tickets if bought in advance, Further discount on cost of ST ticket for ordering before 1st May: If ordered before first of may can either pay in full, or can pay in 3 monthly installments, with a £50 non-refundable deposit, final payment being on first of July. Club will retain ticket until final payment is made. Part season tickets should also be sold allowing fans to pay say £170 for any 10 home games - It would be paid for before the season starts but would entitle the holder to attend any ten home games rather than the normal 23 (ideal for those who work shifts/live away etc). In essence this would be 10 vouchers allowing the person to exchange for a ticket to a match they can attend so there would be no problem with all ticket matches. Or it could be a case of nominating your 10 matches once the fixtures come out and sticking to those chosen matches. It would be paid for before the season starts but would entitle the holder to attend any ten home games rather than the normal 23 (ideal for those who work shifts/live away etc). This could work as 5 or 15 games eg. £90 for 5 matches, £200 for 15 etc. Could even have say a £50 “gift voucher” which entitles the holder to 3 home games. Again games either have to be specified or exchange the voucher for match day ticket in advance. Vouchers in the back of the ST entitling you to take a mate for a fiver or a kid for a quid to a few matches (not Cat A ones). A voucher in the ST book to buy a new season shirt for say, £25 instead of £40. Or 20% off your total spend in the Club shop for one visit only.
why? that's mad ..but if it's true just open a local one it actually says
Proof of support: To open an affinity account, you will be asked to provide evidence of support for the Club. This may take the form of a season ticket or other recognised memberships. Additional forms of proof may be acceptable, but you would be advised to check this first with your local branch.
a local address isn't necessary-just proof of support

How on earth do you expect the club to be able to organise that? Come on, you're having a laugh arn't you?
How would the club police the defaulters on the debt? The club ran this system a few years ago, but the company offering the credit pulled out I understand. There would be that many people who would stop paying after they got the book and that is unworkable. Until the club introduces a credit card swipe style season ticket, once you have the book they can't stop you getting in. Instead of paying monthly in arrears why not try saving monthly in advance. FFS it's not as if you don't know it's coming. £1 a day in a tin. That's all it takes. - oh and a bit of discipline!
May. June. July. 3 months installments, no book until full balance is paid, all installments non-refundable.
Pay in full in May, get 5/10 % discount.
piece'o piss.

RE: why? that's mad ..but if it's true just open a local one I've tried before. I entered my postcode and said that it wasn't valid for that type of account.
RE: Part of letter sent to BFC last March The part season ticket idea would be unworkable. It would be impossible for the club to determine how many on the day tickets to sell. We would always end up with seats empty on the off chance that the part season ticket holder might be attending. Would rather see something done on the general price dependant on season ticket take up.
