RE: not Blonde are you ? I'm not the one with the bonkers posts! I'm not the one organising bizzarre mud wrestling matches with a middle aged man from Dodworth. I'm not the one fretting over signings or ST sales on an hourly basis. but yes, (in a Wella enhanced kind of way), I'm blonde. (givinfinger)
RE: source? are you atotal f**kwit or what? And that increased sales did it? By how many? How does that compare to other Volkswagen advertising campaigns? That's the source I was asking for. And no, I don't remember the ad.
wronnnnnnng if peopleknow the sales are low then the ones dithering may well not bother, on the thinking that the money won't be there for player. Also low sales means less in the ground and atmosphere low... on the otherhand , High sales suggests more cash around , bigger gates ,better atmosphere, better prospect. Therefore the ditherers may well now go and buy.The knock on from high sales is vast.
No, but I doubt that's anything to do with being deliberately secretive It's just logistically impossible due to the number of lines they sell and the quantities involved. It would be just too much hassle and cost too much money to tell all their millions of customers the stock status. I bet if you were a regular customer at a local shop and you casually asked how a particularl product was selling they wouldn't mind telling you. Barnsley FC only really sell one product and they only have a few thousand customers. At any time I bet they're pretty much clued up on how many season tickets they've sold. Telling someone would be no hassle at all and would not require any more resources, they just choose not to. I find that kind of secrecy towards season ticket holders a bit sad and pathetic.
RE: No, but I doubt that's anything to do with being deliberately secretive I just think it's not the time or place for releasing such information. It's not down to individual ticket office assistants and they've got better things to do surely.
RE: wronnnnnnng Why don't you get a season ticket? Instead of moaning about boring ***** all the time /poo
Course they've got better things to do Selling tickets for a start. But while they're selling those tickets, a bit of banter with the customer doesn't slow them down, and what a lot of customers want to know is how many tickets have been sold. I see no harm what so ever in that information being imparted. Maybe the admin staff aren't the proper forum for releasing such information (although why there should be any secrecy at all is beyond me) but the club never release the official figures on season ticket sales through any medium. They always keep the figures secret. I find that very sad indeed and it's just one of the examples why I think BFC are a very inward looking company.
Are you drunk?????? Just brought Laura back from the doctors to find you chuntering more gibberish than usual! Oh, by the way, the only player we've signed so far is Luke Steele. I thought you'd like to know.
I couldn't give a flying **** about Tesco, whereas I do give a **** about my club. What a moronic comment to make.
I want to know how many we've sold To see what affect their under 11's go free scheme has had if any. I'd love to see a packed Oakwell 23 times next season.
Not really, it's not your club is it? You're a customer. All I'm saying is that there are channels there, if you really want to know something then ask the right person.
It's my club, your club, everybody BFC fans club. I wouldn't want to enquire about how many we've sold, but it'd be nice to see a figure made public to let the fans know how the club are doing regarding sales of Season Tickets.
I have no source except my memory, but yes it did increase sales, it was quite widely reported 'back in the day'
It's not though, it's a commercial enterprise, a business. It may feel like more but there is no 'real' ownership there. And I see what you're saying but I don't think the box office is the best way of making something public.
