And why is anything going to court? And have we only for Conway's word for this via his CEO or have the Crynes come out publicly and agreed with it?
It's going to court because they both don't agree on something. One side doesn't agree that they didn't get what they bought with agreements and the other isn't happy that because of that payments seems to have stopped maybe.
Didn't oakwell holdings/crynes release a statement with the words clearly saying they disagreed with the debt being paid by club funds....
But what are the specifics? If the Crynes don't give a toss about where the money comes from as had been suggested by others in the thread, why does Conway & co just not pay the rest out of club coffers. Saves legal fees for a start.
Because the club doesn't have the funds to do so, unless it borrowed money from some source. That would be really grim though. Borrowing money at a time when we need it to cover losses of income to then pay off their debts to the Crynes instead.
It's difficult to know as we have virtually zero insight as to what the court case is actually about and we have the added doubt of which division we'll be next season. The likelihood of the club having to rely on funding beyond it's own working capital is increasing.
Conway and Co say they haven't gained personally from taking the 750.000 out of the club....to pay debt..... So on that footing will they repay the club that money when they come to sell it....if not That's when they gain from it personally...
