I don’t think they were ever going to enforce the follow on. Why would they? Get some more miles in our bowlers legs and really kill the morale for the rest of the series. I fully expect them to declare around tea tomorrow in perfect bowling conditions and rip us apart again. We’ll probably be 50/4 at close tomorrow.
We went into this test series frozen raw, never mind under-cooked. I remember times when the touring side came over for the entire summer/winter and played most of the counties/states as well. We were grossly under-prepared for this.
In 4 years time we will hear the same old ******** about how we've had 18 months to prepare and we know what we're doing when in reality it will be another **** show. 5 military medium seamers and some pathetic batsman pretending they're international quality...and repeat.
Right guys, if England had batted on this long they'd be getting absolute pelters. What we thinking these pathetic wimps will manage in the 2nd innings... 150 all out. Be nice for Rory Burns to come out as a No11 and Butler just to play his natural attacking game.
My goodness!!!!! It's sad to say, but I honestly think Bangladesh and Zimbabwe would give the Aussies more of a game. Won't be long before Burns is back in the sheds.
It's just basic stuff isn't it. Just watched the wicket. Even I know you leave on length in Aus. Our approach to batting seems to be "let's hope root gets 200" that's the plan.
Yep. New ball, quick bowler, leave on length 9/10. Burns seems to have decided to play a few shots. I’d rather see him dig in.
I'd rather he played a few shots (nothing outrageous) and keeps the scoreboard moving. Pointless trying to dig in and not score when you're a walking wicket.
Shame for Malan who's one of the only guys that's looked OK in the series for us. The ball and pitch appears to be doing very little for the bowlers, so if they play sensible they should do alright.
