Read it, chose them from the pool we are prepared to buy from. Hence the current crop of players who are out of their depth. I'll say this if Stendel keeps this time up it will be a bigger achievement than if we had managed to stay up last time. I.e I think this team is worse than the one that went down. (Currently)
I think the team is worse than the one that went down and the one that hecky started the season with 2 seasons back. As for you saying it makes mo odds if we sell a player with 6 months or 2 years left, selling moore for 2.7 million just before the window closes is great but who are you going to replace him with for the same amount who can make a difference ivan toney would cost just as much if not more than 2.7million based on age and potential.
Have you heard yourself? Why the need to say bad words about them or anyone for that matter? Is it the age we are now living in? The cynical, negative feelings so evident on this and other forums this last couple of days is mind-numbing. If I had to be so angry and blamey about something I would jack it in.
I say it makes no odds because every one of our players is for sale at all times regardless of the time left on their contract. All the contract does is potentially increase the fee. Which again makes no odds to me I don't support a balance sheet I support a football team. The replacement it seems will always be a unproven, often unknown young player. Some will work, some won't, if we bring in large numbers at once the odds are we will struggle.
If you think he chose the players you need to read it again. It also negates your argument as it implies Stendhal chose Miller.
Current team is much worse than either. When we went down it was clear given the quality opposition we would come straight back this time with this team I’d be much less certain of bouncing back.
I have read it, the sentimental shown towards hecky on this board is admirable. I doubt stendel said to the board let's sell potts in the middle of a promotion campaign and bring in jordan green and miller.
It's five games played and you've already made your judgment on us this season and potentially next season. You should be a scout!
I agree I like the look of diaby, thomas and wilks. Woodrow, mowatt and mcgheehan i like aswell but after this season have a year left so will probley cash in.
We will see. We may avoid relegation. Daniel is an interesting HC who got a fantastic league 1 team playing brilliant football. This seasons challenge is more daunting getting a poor team that isn’t ready to survive. The Championship is a poorer league and football is a difficult game to read this time round so there is a chance. I correctly predicted our relegation and promotion after a similar amount of games but where the mrs is life there’s hope. Maybe you could with all the NHS cuts be a professional cheerer uppererrer. Instead of treating a broken leg you could just say how great having a broken leg is.
I have the head coach says I want a striker. The recruitment team gather a list of forwards. The HC can either have one off that list or no one. It’s not the same as a HC actively choosing a player. Undoubtedly last season Daniel said I want a striker. They came back with a list from that list Miller was the least worst option In Daniel’s mind. It doesn’t mean that Miller was his choice just as Ugbo wasn’t Hecky’s.
I don't want to see bad words abou them no doubt they have the clubs best interests ah heart, just the same posters who were quick to jump on Patrick's back every 5 minutes are now sharpening the knives for stendel and going to lengths to defend the questionable players sales of moore and potts.
Hecky said he had watched ugbo for Chelsea's 23s and believed he could make the step up in interviews he didnt make the step up unfortunately. He thought jackson and McDonald were better options than pinnock, he thought mowatt would be able to play against bristol as a winger and no one said out, just kept singing hes one of our own.
What can't you understand about Moore? The guy wanted to leave, he's got history for not hanging around at clubs and his agent was touting him around all summer - we got £4 million for him, he's never a £4m striker. What would you have preferred them to do? Tell him he's not going and then expect him to play when he doesn't want to be here?
Care to find those posts where you predicted we'd be promoted/relegated after a similar amount of games? Impressive of you to predict our demise the other year when after five games we'd just beaten Sunderland 3-0. Less impressive of you to predict promotion this time last year when we were unbeaten in five. I already work in the NHS.
Surely they and Patrick neither gave us reasons to sharpen knives or say bad words. For the term supporter it seems some of us are frankly not.
He refused to go to France from what I've heard so there's your answer. You only need google his agent's name to realise like you say he's not exactly loyal.
Lindsay refused to talk to the club, PInnock offered a record deal and captaincy.... but l suppose that's the owners faults as well.
Adam Davies is currently playing for the Stoke Under23 side who are losing 1-0 to Fulham Under23 as we speak with Timmy Abraham on target.
