Yorkshire's nightingale hospital in Harrogate could fit every single covid patient in it. So far it hasn't handled a single covid patient since the day it opened back in April

It's the daily admissions figures I'm talking about. It was last updated on the government dashboard for the 12 August.

Didn't post to be contraversial. Purely today's figure for hospital beds.

Hopefully the measures we are taking will push us even further down the list. It certainly supports the travel restrictions.

Remember it's only three weeks it's only on public transport it's only in shops etc. Well the above link says....

Social distancing measures and masks will have to continue until 2021 regardless.

I think the public disorder they are worried about from the same article they can get ready for. Folks aren't going to put up with at least another four months of the draconian restrictions that have already ruined the past five months.

    i don't understand the mathematics
we have a few doctors nurses on here would they explain it to me/us the medical science behind the numbers
we are currently running at between 900 and 1200+ flu and pneumonia deaths per week and that number is not dropping or showing any signs of slowing down around 55000 deaths total this year as we stand in the U.K
the numbers are running at 4 and 5 times more Covid deaths per week as we speak
Covid is quoted as being X times more contagious and X times more deadly than Flu and is also spread via same methods droplets plus Covid can be caught via touching objects
the figures quoted are not possible based on those figures
there is no vaccine for Covid and as vaccines have a 50/60 % success rate
The Covid death rate should be at least double and up to 4x/ 8x flu and pneumonia rates per week
the numbers and maths don't add up to the layman ?

Remember when the argument on here was how wonderful Spanish people were at keeping to their strict measures and what a bunch of w4nkers the British were?

Yeah they will. It’s clear from on here that most folk have been that terrified by the concerted campaign of fear that they’ll stand for anything. There’s plenty would let a tramp **** in their mouth every day for a year if Boris said it would reduce the risk of infection.

The young have already had enough. Illegal races are going to become all the more common as the government keep controlling their people. Police who have real crime to deal with having their time wasted dealing with stuff that they would not have to if nightclubs were open.

The more healthy young people mix amongst themselves, the more chance older more at risk people won't get ill because it appears the majority of infections now are young.
