Yea..this the point exactly...we conceded pens like this all season but oddly don't seem to get them....its ridiculous we have had one pen all season...just bizarre
Reason why Bannan was pretty anonymous in the first half? Phillips. Reason why Bannan had so much more of the ball in the second half? The (non) sending off. Penalty would have been soft, but anywhere else on the pitch it was a foul. thought the match was pretty even and we so deserved to take it to penalties, but that’s football. Isted MoM for me, closely followed by Mads and then Kitch. fairly sure the massives will part company with DM before Christmas and after the racial abuse he got after the 1st leg I wouldn’t blame him if he told them to shove the job anyway. But he’s a bigger man and an ex-red, so I wish him the best. would love to keep Duff and the whole team, but that’s down to the board now. It’s been a great season. Onwards and upwards.
Sums it up perfectly it is too obvious like he said. And people think they isn't favouritism we've had it all season.
Who made most contact on opposition player, Philips on Gregory, or Gregory on Kitching, I rest my case the ref cant have it both ways ,if you kick someone its a foul
The thing is, they’ll hammer him now, for saying that. It’s a mafia. Even with VAR, is hasn’t made a blind bit of difference. My faith in officials has totally evaporated.
I would say “can’t believe we have another season of league 1 officials to deal with” but wasn’t this ref meant to be championship and higher and have use of VAR? Some awful decisions throughout. “It always evens out over the course of the season”. Does it really though? When is it going to even out for us?
"No way on god's earth was that a red card" Text to me at the time from a mate who's a lifelong Wednesdayite.
we should all agree to pay the clubs fine if one is issued for this. Paid in 1p coins delivered by truck and tipped into the EFL car park.
Right to all those who say it would have been a soft penalty or it wasn't one. I say this if a defender miss times a tackle In the area accidentally it's a penalty yesterday's incident may not have been a tackle as such but the fact of the matter is Gregory missed the ball and kicked Kitchen and not a glancing blow like the Phillips one on Gregory which led to his red card a full blooded kick. It was no different to a keeper diving at a players feet missing the ball and bringing him down. It was a penalty 100% and the football authorities should have to explain publicly why it wasn't given and defend the officials decision.
