i love Bobby Hassell. He is a legend and a rock solid right full back, decent centre-half, decent defensive midfielder, and excellent goal keeper. But I would make a couple of points. Firstly Wiseman wasn't picked ahead of him on Saturday at right back, Stones was. Secondly, Hill didn't really have the option of picking him most of last season, he was injured. Thirdly, I can understand the principle of picking Wiseman ahead of him because the way we play we need at least one attacking full back to push on, and last year the left back was usually jay Mac who offered nothing going forward. Unfortunately in the case of Wiseman the attacking element is at the expense of being able to defend, which is why he plays for us and not a bigger club. Persoanlly I would play Bobby Hassell, but I don't think it is as black and white as you make it sound
Thats fair, and I can live with that. But I still think that if Wiseman hadnt been playing LB, he would prob have been before Hassell in the pecking order. I'm not saying Hassell is the best player at the club. But i do believe that he is not treated fairly by Hill. I also suspect some of the digs he has made about players in the past have been directed at Hassell
I think Hassell will play an important part this season still, and be hugely important to Stones development both on and off the pitch. I'm sure Hill appreciates the consumate professional that Hassell is, and also knows what he means to the fans. Hassell's reception when he came on in the last game of last season alone will have told him that. I bet that proper baffled the travelling fans!
Find those compromising photos wiseman has of hill. A defender is paid to defend. Bobby is miles ahead of wiseman and as it stands stones in that respect. Stones looks like he has the ability to come through and take his crown. Wiseman couldn't defend a chocolate log.
