I'm not sure but I think he won player of the year for Villa and that's in a team including Benteke. He didn't half score an amazing goal against Stoke as well. I wouldn't really call that the wilderness.

On the rare viewings I've seen of him he seems hit and miss. Prone to the calamity back pass of goal costing mistake.

He' played for our academy but was released so knows the place. He must be well thought of though as people rate him highly.

 

Everyone's saying he looks utter tosh. Yeah, fair enough, but that's for Sheff United. You don't know how he's going to play if Flicker instills some confidence into the lad.

 

It would be worth signing him just to watch the blunts react to little old Barnsley buying their biggest star.

Lowton has just had a decent season for villa.

Lowton is a very good young lad who scored 2 of the best goals the premiership saw last season, I'd hardly say he's slipped into wilderness

 

Sure it was him that scored for them in the relegation party at some point. Looked their best player that day.

Villa will do well this season.

 

If villa can sign a few experienced heads to add to there youthful team a think they could finish in the top 8.
