I don’t think that’s fair. No one’s advocating doing a counter protest in favour of the owners, and no one’s suggesting we shouldn’t be critical of anything. Also, we don’t all sing the ‘JAQ’ song. The vast majority of us don’t.

They have been in control for 2 years and they were in the play offs both seasons! Lack of two descent forwards last summer, was the only, but massive mistake, their staff have made. They are also putting money in. Leave them alone and make frustration known at meetings with the reps over lack of last summer striker signings and goalkeeper situation. We need a regular goalkeeper.

Think that’s the more likely scenario to be honest. Loads haven’t been turning up recently and I reckon those numbers will increase.

Just had to check - Sky Football says it’s a 3.00pm kickoff not 3.08 - so I’m going with that.

These protests rarely achieve anything, I think the owners already know they've made massive errors with regards recruitment.
My take on the situation is, the owners are going to let this season go where it goes, hoping for some sort of uplift of home form (hope springs eternal) and then in the close season they'll bait us with promises and flim flam to try and get season tickets sold to around 7k.
Just as an aside, I have just read an article on the BBC sports website regarding Spurs and the disconnect between Daniel Levy and the supporters and also the amounts of money generated and spent, they are currently 14th in the Premiership, football is, and has been for quite some time a mercenary and cold business, we the supporters mean very little if anything at all.

Yeah, I think we should take it as a ‘given’ that all owners want to finish as high as possible. It doesn’t make financial sense to loiter in the lower leagues and disenfranchise your fans.

Disgruntled supporters don’t hurt clubs as much at Prem level because of all the other avenues of income. They certainly do at our level though because fans are the main source of revenue. If our season ticket sales drop from 9k to 6k that’s a big hit to club finances.
It’s a real possibility and the owners must be concerned.

What happened to "We'll support you evermore"?
We may have hit a sticky patch but the club have done enough in my view to warrant our support.
If there is a protest its nothing new and not really that clever.Remember Speedie running on the pitch with his "sack the board banner"I think we were in the Premiership a couple of years after.
Under Mel Machin the team used to get booed onto the pitch again nothing there to inspire the team.
I'll keep my powder dry and continue with my unconditional support. If anyone wants to address any issuse they might have theres always somebody to talk to at Oakwell.
Lastly on the last planned demo which actually died a death.Mr Goddard promised he had financial backers ready to take over ,not true.Kahled offered to have a meeting with him in the Garrison, which he turned down.
They had thousands of posters made and I saw thousands of them destroyed by his target audience.
Stick with the club and the team it isn't as dark as you may think.

I’ll do my own at home and walk away from the settee for eight minutes at 3pm.

They're not protests. They're ego trips for folk begging for likes on Facebook and X.

We win three on the spin and we'll be singing star spangled banner in Ponte & wearing India cricket shirts in tribute to our multi national consortium.

Buckle out! was my first memory of our fans displeasure, although ‘they don’t want to go up’ goes back as far as I remember.

Khaled (CEO), Beth Sefton (Head of Ticketing/Fan Engagement), Andy Clark (Commercial) and myself (Marketing) attended that Garrison event. Khaled even offered to speak on stage, to offer a club perspective. That was turned down. So the four of us just sat there at a table and watched Luke's presentation along with everybody else. I think it was live streamed also.

He'd clearly put a lot of effort into it, and spoke with passion about the ownership group's tenure to that point, in chronological order. There was plenty of criticism. It was in the midst of a shocking season after all. As I say, Luke presented his thoughts and latterly suggested the club needed a change of owners.
There was no alternative presented though. So it just felt like someone letting off steam.
We all went over to Luke at the close of his presentation and shook his hand, congratulated him on putting across his point.

It wasn't that long after that was it, that a reconstitution of the board was announced, and everything since then (summer of 2022) has seen previous directors shut out, their share diluted and so on. So you could say that Luke (and others) efforts had some impact? Who knows.

I don't agree with certain things at BFC. But I do know that the current board have the club's best interests at heart. The board is only as good as the staff/players it employs though.

FTR, I'm against this planned protest. I don't know what purpose it serves. If we win today, there's still hope for a successful season. And I say that with very little confidence in it happening. But still, to bring negativity to the stadium on what is a pivotal day, it doesn't make sense to me.

I just hope we don't concede in the opening 8 minutes because the jokes will write themselves.

Board just need people in key roles who know what they're doing at a football club, not data analysts and number crunchers.

I'll be in my seat before kick off.

Personally think the biggest factor for people not renewing STs next season might not be footballing reasons, ironically enough. I think it might be the Sky dea and disruption to KO times.
