Likewise mate

My support of Barnsley isn't , and never has been , linked to the person employed as the manager . He will get my full backing , whether it be Blackwell , Megson , Worthington or whoever .
Truth be told , it's been fairly rare in the nigh on forty years of following Barnsley that I HAVE liked the manager at the time .

Oh Danny boy,no I think it will be Blackwell but he hardly qualifies for the very experienced manager tag.

He's just being realistic. Whoever he and the board choose it wont please everyone. Let's face it, some would moan if Wenger or Ferguson were given the job.

Whoever it is they will get my support!

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

What the f**k? So, he manages to say 'happy Christmas'- which is quite correct - but then says 'Manager' as though it's a proper noun? I'd hang my head in shame. I'm surprised dreamgenius300 didn't spot that. Simon Davey, nailed on.

    Oh Well Gaz.......

they wasn't that many mistakes in the official programme yesterday except for the manager notes. I only noticed about 4 or 5 so the proof reader for what we pay a hefty 2.50 for must be earning his keep.

you only noticed four or five?

    You're slipping. I spotted several.

Ronnie Wallwork's attacker was in court on christmas day according to the programme....

I hope whoever it is the fans get fully behind the new man. Although i doubt too many will be happy with the choice.

RE: For them not registered - here is the article

"Simon Davey, Ryan Kidd and Martin Wilkinson together with other scouts specifically watched eight players last week end with some of the reports being very encouraging. Other targets have been identified and are being pursued, these include transfer targets as well as loanees."

So is Gordon in charge of Team Building? If that's the case what say would a new manager have on Player Signings, unless of the new man is SIMON DAVEY???????

    Perhaps

you'ld prefer the chief scout & other senior coaching staff should sit on their hands until a new manager is appointed?

FFS these people scout players all the time as its part of their job and in MW's case its his primary role.

3 points on Saturday or even 2 from the next 2 and it could well be Davey's job and it would be difficult to raise a validargument against it.
