I have driven past a few times in the last few months,

delivering steel to where they are putting the new flood drains in, near Rugby ground.
The football ground does not look too bad, a bit like the old Oakwell.

against bristol rovers, think it was bath city's ground and they were ground sharing. Even the pub outside it had plastic pint pots! :D

Coldest I have ever been at a football match. Freezing my nuts off. Boring match, the highlights were watching the planes overhead on the approach to Manchester Airport. Don Goodman was on loan, we said he would never score while he played for us, but De Zeeuw did (header from a corner if memory serves me right which it probably doesn't!)

Think it was the rolls of barbed wire they had put around our end that did me

Wire netting round the ground instead of a wall, the main stand got bombed during the war so they built a temporary stand which was still there 20 years later.

Take your pick from any Division 3 or 4 ground in the mid 60s nt

Majority of them were poor but so was Oakwell.
