Owen & Heskey = dream team.

maybe not for 90 minutes , BUT, he does still carry a threat

in as much as that many many players in the international field do respect and fear the lad, maybe he is nowadays more of a sub/impact player ?

Aye maybe he'd be alright for the last ten minutes of a Game as a last resort? but i even doubt that to be honest....

Games I've seen him play over the last couple a yrs (when not injured) he seems slow and no real movement round the box, only my thinking like....

I don't think being at Newcastle is exactly helping the lad either

he is not as sharp as he was , and I seem to detect an air of hopelessness from the guy, maybe if he went to a team that was doing something thne he might get the fire back in his belly, Crikey I just had a thought....He Would be great fer us...hehehe seriously tho' what about HULL I reckon he could do good there

Hull wouldn't want him lol, they fight for every minute of a game so Owen for sure wouldn't fit, hes lost all his desire for the game i reckon, and who can blame him playing for the shambles what is Newcastle....

    Shame though....

Only needs a new club to get him going again though. Can't argue with his stats, even at Newcastle. He is a poacher.

    1996–2004 Liverpool - 216 games, 118 goals
    2004–2005 Real Madrid - 35 games, 13 goals
    2005– Newcastle United - 49 games, 21 goals

(from wiki so might not be bang on).

Not yet he needs to show long term fitness, theres too much much swapping and changing up front when Owens in the team.
