No room for sympathy, probably a lovely bloke but isn't getting the results or raising the performance levels of the players. Move him on with the CEO.
This is just unsubstantiated ******** though, right? I know the owners aren’t necessarily the best but this is nonsense? Unless I’ve missed some announcement?
Does that make the situation any different to Schopp who also came in for a lot of abuse on here. The problem lies elsewhere as we all know. We got lucky with Stengel and Ismael (lockdown saved Sruber) , otherwise the problem lies elsewhere where with poor managerial appointments- those with a business mind unfortunately knows what happens next !!
I don't believe for a second the owners pick the team. They do pick the players we sign though by and large. For the second time this season we seem to have a coach who does his team selections via a tombola.
They might not "pick" the team but I think they exert influence over the selection and I think that influence as become more prevalent this season because the new CEO and the two head coaches we've had are weaker and more easily influenced than previously was the case and that's probably not by accident.
He might turn out to be a very good coach in the future, but he’s the wrong man at the wrong time for us. The last bloke we needed was an inexperienced coach who wanted to play like Man City.
Hes a appointment that fits perfectly with our recruitment policy. If we sacked him he would be replaced with unknown, unproven, cheap foreign coach.
Let me clarify my post. Whilst perhaps Conway and co are not telling him the 11 he must select, in my opinion they are exerting some influence over who should be selected. What evidence do I have? **** all. But, either Poya is doing his best to get sacked with some of these team selections or he is doing as he's told. Even if Poya is really pissed off, he's hardly going to walk away and give up a payout...
Think in that scenario Hamilton while not winning would still manage to show what a class driver he is. Asbaghi has shown us nothing as far as I'm concerned.
Yes he is the problem along with the owners. But I don't what he was like in Sweden but he just hasn't got a clue about the English game and the worst part he doesn't seem to be learning. He is going backwards
Whilst I firmly believe he’s totally the wrong appointment and he’s got nowhere near enough experience for the championship, I find the personal insults and abuse that’s throw at him bang out of order, he’s obviously doing the job to the best of his ability.
Not with four flat tyres he wouldn't, which is the point i'm making. Not even Klopp would get us out of this mess. I've no idea how good a manager is, but common sense suggests given how Schopp fared with what he had at his disposal it isn't the manager that's the main issue.
In order to do that RH said players have to be available to play and in most instances one or more of said players were not for diferring reasons. We all have personal preferences for who should play in which position but the art is in making the best out of a bad job. In Poya's case he initially made us harder to beat but hasn't been able to convert that into scoring and winning games. I put that down to player availability. Our main players have been missing but hopefully back mid Feb, so not long away . With two new players to blood and a return of injured players we should see what he is capable of. I realise that time is of the essence, but it is what it is . A fit Cauley back with Morris and the new lads and who knows.
I disagree. He's had the advantage of Morris and Anderson back under his stewardship. I agree we're missing Woodrow but he did play under Poya and didn't make much difference.
Because the service from midfield was crap. That may now get better. Not so sure that Andersen is the plus you think he is.
