Spot on mate. I remember an incident at work (Jaguar Cars) some years ago when a bloke on the assembly track wolf whistled at a woman from one of the offices and he was instantly dismissed. I've always thought that it was a bit too harsh a punishment and that he should have received a written warning and diversity training. At the time Jaguar was part of Ford who had a very strict policy on these matters.
it was a bit more than that. Hopefully he'll learn from the negative press with regard to his actions going forwards .
It doesn't matter what I think it's matters what the asst ref thought, if she thought it was something worth a response more than telling Aguero where to go she could have raised it with the ref and they could have decided whether to warn him book him or send him off the fact she didn't says to me that at the time it didn't concern her if she decides retrospectively it does warrant further action she can always report it but that should be for her to decide not some social media witch hunt inspired by a Liverpool supporting journo with an agenda, the way some have reacted youd think Aguero had groped her rather than touched her shoulder. My opinion is if she's, after reflection bothered by it she should report him but if she doesn't it should be left at that.
It kind of matters what you think, you're the person we're talking to and you have a valid opinion. Completely disagree with your Liverpool agenda theory though. I'm not a Liverpool fan, I'd be surprised if anyone on here is, but there are plenty of people who think it's not right and the comments seem balanced rather than witch hunty.
Look at the tweet quoted on the original post I believe shes the person who kicked all the fuss off on social media. I'm not saying it was right for him to touch sian I'm saying it was and is up to her to do something about it if she thinks / thought it worthy of punishment.
Would have thought a booking, because you aren’t supposed to touch the official . BUT it was totally non malicious, I’ve seen players do similar to male officials with no punishment. Also compared to players mouthing off and snarling in the faces of officials Which they hardly ever get punished for it pales into insignificance.
It was Sian Massey who whilst running the line at oakwell on the very same day they were promoting the kick racism out of football campaign was subjected herself to verbal sexual discrimination after once again giving the opposition the advantage by awarding them a couple of dodgy throw ins on top of missing a couple of offside From out of the west stand a young lady of 85 years at the time rose to her feet and shouted in Sians direction...Oi .love.... get back in the kitchen were you belong you pudding burner...... Much to the merriment of all the blokes in the west stand....Almost two years down the line nearing 87 my season ticket holding mother is still getting her leg pulled about it....lol
She thought about all of that in 2 seconds! Impossible to have that happen and think all that and come to a conclusion like that in 2 seconds.
So you're saying that her lived experiences would have no influence on her decision making in that instance? If that was how the human brain actually worked we'd be extinct as a species.
