    Too many further south teams in the Conference South so Gloucester lose out by having to travel way up north for some fixtures. Feel sorry for the players - they will know the M5 very well. Then again, plugged in to their big headphones, playing video games etc it doesn't really matter.

    When I first started watching them they were Southern Premier and played the likes of Crawley Town or Hastings so still quite a journey across country.

    It doesn't matter so much about the level at which he has played. He is young at 20; will have that enthusiasm and dedication to regard this move as an exciting step forwards; he has a good scoring record - anyone who scores on his debuts looks like a born goal-scorer. I don't know if he has had links with Hartpury College, but they have a deserved outstanding reputation as a sporting college, amongst other things - if the coaching of the footballers is as good as the rugby, White will have be well-schooled.
