Where did you get this £500k up front for Hume from?

The official site stated he cost £1.2 million. Surely we should go with that figure.

 

I think the money is available to davey for one more million pound signing, but I would be dissapointed to see him rush in and spend it for the sake of it.

People are saying we should take a risk on someone like riordan, but why not risk the fact that mostto or KO will come good? if this doesnt happen we still have the funds in january, when the right player may be available. This way we are taking a risk, but still have back up funds to do something about it if it goes wrong. If we spend it all on riordan and he turns out sh*te then we are in for a relegation battle with a high wage budget.

And that is all without even taking loans into account.

Im saying that would it really be sich a bad idea to go into the season with what we have got? and add to it in january instead of losing players like we did last year.

Neither do 10 goal a season strikers if Hume is owt to go by!!
Time wil tell but I reckon Liam Dickinson to Derby for 750K will look a better deal than Hume by the season's end.

 

I guarantee you Riordan's better than what we've got...

if you look at mostto's scoring record when he was in peru,(1st time around) then youve got to admit you could see why davey would take the gamble

 

i would more than happily go into this season with what weve got, i think we have a decent side and we have proved that we can beat anyone in the cup run. we can see what needs to be changed in january until then come on you reds!!

 

If we go with what we have then, by January we will be struggling to catch up. nt
