Absolutely It was a response to this http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=122479&mid=810100#M810100 My feelings on the subject lie somewhere between the two arguments. And just to alienate everyone, I think people talk **** on both sides of the divide.
RE: Absolutely No sorry you are def not allowed to disagree with people on both sides of the argument its black or white on here FACT errrr at least I think it is and I probably missed a few ffs's off there I know sorry.
RE: You certainly can All these facts mean nothing really its all down to the current circumstances and what targets the manager has. If we had just come down from the Prem you would expect a lot more wins. But Davey's fact's show us that he has achieved what was expected from him and just kept us in this league.
RE: Facts mean nothing? You could use the facts about Davey against him if you want, but they don't tell the true story. Only what you want to see !
The truth as you see it, not me. It doesn't matter than we've won less than one match in four? It doesn't matter that that we've lost over half the games? At what point would it matter? Would it ever matter? If that point is reached, is at a unilaterally decided passage of time, not to be questioned by anyone? As I said earlier, Simon Davey polarises the views of supporters like no other Barnsley manager in living memory. Neither side of the debate can claim theirs is the definitive argument. Opinions are just that. However, by it's very definition. it is impossible for an opinion to be right or wrong. You are entitled to your opinions, but no more than I am to mine.
RE: The truth as you see it, not me. Agreed and if we had lost on Saturday and Davey had lost his job then there would have been no complaints from me but we didn't. The game on Saturday showed how much the players were behind Davey in the second half but in the first half it look like they weren't so its all very confusing. Maybe the players are in the same minds as the fans.
Actually, mate I would love Simon Davey to ram my criticism of him back down my throat, it'd be absolutely brilliant. It would obviously mean Barnsley are doing far better than they have these past ten months in the league. Barnsley mean far more to me than my ego ever will and I want the best for them. If that success is with Simon Davey at the helm, then that's fine by me.
RE: Actually, mate Not everyone feels like that though and it will take something special for them to ever take to Davey which sometimes is hard to understand.
