RE: go on then which was a brave decision?

"Was it the two like for like subs up front?"

That in itself was a brave decision. He could have easily made the last substitution a defender for an attacker. Surely you can see a certain positivity in that decision from SD?

    yes he is

from the viewpoint that if Moore had'nt felled their guy it could easily have been game over because I doubt we could have got back from that.I hope he does make another tactical decision and admit the back four is 100% better witout Moore.

Well I hope your wrong, two strikers scored today and Rigters played well.

I think we can be too negative at times.

Thought it was a basic sensible decision tbh

when we saw Bobby stripping off we all said can't believe he would sacrifice somebody to keep a back four when we were one down. You probably would at levels or in front but not when you need to get back in contention.

The lad will come good I'm telling you, he looked to get into right areas wait until he's fully fit and making the runs across the line.

    I thought so.

Basically, knowing he NEEDED to win the game and being 1-0 down he did the only thign he could, carried on and moved kozluk and foster into a flat back three (the common sense move). Then at 2-1 he did the obvious thing and took off the woeful leon who doesnt know what the word tackle means and replaced him with the only defensive player on the pitch (again a decision that made itsefl).

after that the last two subs were like for like to replace tired legs, nothing brave about them but nothing wrong with them either.

So he made the right choices at least. Agree about Leon, did nothing today. People who think he is Howards replacement are mentalists. He does put in the odd decent performance but way to lightweight for central midfield and nowhere near enough pace for out wide.

Was I the only one to notice

that he switched Campbell Ryce through the middle to play just behind the strikers?

Gave the less space and enables to us to harry in the middle of midfield. That is what won us the game in my opinion. JCR was given the licence to roam and they just couldn't handle him. They didn't know where he was going to appear. That for me was an excellant tactical decision.

He also got his subs spot on.

Criticism is fair when it's deserved but when he clearly does something right then it's only fair he is praised for it.

RE:Game of two halves even for Davey........

First half - abysmal tactics, long balls with two midgets up front!

After the sending off - first class, he earned his corn firstly keeping it at 3-4-2 but drawing JCR and Devaney in and then when we'd gone in front going to a 4-3-1-1 which also worked well.

Not my favourite guy but gotta give him credit today.
