You mean relatively small amount of money compared to the rest of the league

I would be delighted with staying up and consolodating again this season, building a base to push on next year

I'm not sure, but the rules are you either think he's an exceptional, outstanding world beater who'll go onto to take Real Madrid to win the interplanetary trophy of the universe. Or you're stubborn/thick.

Get with it. That was superceded years ago by the sponsored and money-laden Galactic Champions League.

Glossop won it last year. They'll be a real test of how we're progressing.

I'm not calling it that, because I'm stubborn.

RE: "Interplanetary trophy of the Universe"

Many years ago a Barnsley player missed his train to Glossop when they and Barnsley played at the same level. That player then walked to Glossop for the match. Would any of today's overpaid over-hyped prima donnas do that ? eh ? eh ?

No, but that was back in the day

When young Asian lads from Barnsley weren't getting the pride of England into bother on the cricket field.

How times have changed.

You talk as if......

.....the Davey doubters have been proved wrong. HaveI missed something? And if he ever does prove himself he'll have to change to do so. Does that mean we'll have been wrong about his current faults?

Don't tell me - FA Cup semi-final. We were just dead unlucky in the league.

Sometimes in life

its only when you lose something that you realise how good it was, that thing that you had.

FA Cup Semi Final. Championship survival. On a League 1 budget. He might not be everyone's best mate, and make some strange team selections, but track record is better than most. He's got the job done. We're moving forward. For every Williams in midfield there's a Hassell in midfield. For every Dwayne Mattis there's an Andersen De Silva. Compare him to what we've had. Not perfect, learning his trade even, but a very good manager.

RE: Sometimes in life

Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
