You have no idea how it works at Rotherham...Stewart has mortgaged his life away to support his club...if they do not win promotion(which I hope they do)they are in serious financial trouble.I hope it works for them but it's a model we would be unwise to follow.

I thought he paid for the stadium out of his own personal fortune

It's been shown that the team that wins the Premiership is the team that spends the most on wages, the same will be true in the Championship with a few exceptions.

How do you know that?and do you know the value of those deals, I very much doubt Eric Twigg foods or Pukka Pies will be putting a fortune in,and as for Morrison PLC,they are a company heavily involved with Rotherham Council, and also have the maintenance contract for the stadium.

I blame norman hunter, the defence ain't been the same since he sold big mick McCarthy to city.

That reverend preedy has a lot to answer for as well.

Bleeding hell fire how about praising the club for continually punching above its weight rather than blindly seeking someone to blame?

    I blame Thatcher. What a ****.

I'm sure Davey also raised more in revenue from a great cup run than either MR, or Keith Hill ever have. Also let's not forget Davey was robbed of a signing by a certain thug from Barnsley.

You need money to invest in players to advance, and without some person with more money than sense, the only hope is for local people to support their local club, and not give their coffers to some team over the pennines or further south.
