Have people seen Coleman's managerial stats? They don't read well to me. I may be overplaying his reliance on Bale at Wales but let's face it...they'd never have got near qualifying without him in the side. Maybe he might come good here but to me there's far better track records out there.
Coleman would be a disaster a huge no for him As for Grayson - not an ispiring choice but he would be a safe and boring head coach. He wouldnt be my choice but if he was given the job I wont be devastated. Id just prefer someone who played more exciting football
No to Coleman for me. He's still unproven at club level and whilst his international achievements are impressive, he did have the benefit of a very talented Welsh squad, totally in the zone and at the peak of their powers, playing in a strange tournament where the so called better sides flattered to deceive. Grayson... steady, safe choice. I'm not sure he's quite what the owners would want, certainly regarding the PR side and wanting to possibly bring in players from all over (if this is the policy, who knows which direction our recruitment will take). I'd rather see a Paul Hirst type coming in personally. I wouldn't be surprised if we get another foreign 'coach', possibly with some link to Ganaye.
Yeah, they were sixth when he took over but ended up finishing eleventh (I think) after a pretty poor run of results. I'm not saying he'd be a bad appointment but as with any manager that we can realistically attract there would be an element of risk.
