As the question was "who is the best player?", not "who has been here the longest?" or "who has given the most?" ... ... then it's Heinz Mueller by a billion, trillion miles. Still playing in the Bundesliga & a cut above anything else we've had a the club for a long time. To say that Foster, an honest & committed player, is the same quality as Heinz is basically mental. The answer might be Stones in a few years. At the moment it's Heinz. And you're all a bunch of pig bummers.
My worst XI Since our return to the Championship:- 1. David Lucas 2. Rob Kozluk 3. Adam Eckersley 4. Ritchie Jones 5. Paul Reid 6. Rob Atkinson 7. Rohan Ricketts 8. Maceo Rigters 9. Tommy Wright 10.Nicky Wroe 11.Mournier El Haimour Substitutes:- 12.Ronnie Wallwork 13.Tony Warner 14.Anthony McParland 15.Dwayne Mattis 16.Colin Healey 17.Kayode Odejayi 18.Simon Whalley
John Stones for me. Looked like a future England international for us and I can't think of another Barnsley player i've thought that about.
Re: My worst XI I always thought Paul Reid got a bit of undue criticism. Not saying he was good enough for the championship but I thought he was better than many gave him credit
Re: My worst XI I think Reid was one of numerous players in our Play Off squad who, in my opinion, simply found the Championship a step too far. Lovely bloke, though. Rob Kozluk, on the other hand, is the only player I've really detested since we won promotion. I refuse to accept or acknowledge anything positive about him.
