TFP is funny sometimes but not always. Given the context of what's been posted today about the McCanns I do find it amusing that anyone would find TFP's comments anything but a lampooning of the more morally reprehensible utterings. (I was tempted to write that last bit in Portuguese).
Whatever you think about TFP he has managed to get someone to respond with a truly hilarious post - surely you agree on that?

You can't replace the face to face, one on one contact and response that real life gives over online interaction. To replace that, you have to look at previous behaviour, and how other people react. If you get offended by TFP, either you have not been &quot;online&quot; long enough, or you are over sensitive. Either way, your reaction is probably over the top.

Yes i agree that after all the postings he has done, its taken that post of his to get luke to respond. Like i have said i don't read his posts anymore and haven't for a while.

My choice, but it looks like after reading the replies for his defence i'm definately in a minority.

Have to say that I think people are being a little over-sensitive to these issues. I understand that some might be offended by the attempts at dark humour but it seems some want the subject of the McCanns to be banned totally. Everybody is talking about it so why shouldn't we on here. As for the humour, don't read it if you feel you might be offended. As I said last night there have been gay, racist, Pavarotti and Princess Diana jokes/comments on here in the last wek or so and nobody has complained about those. Nothing escapes comedy, as some very famous comedians in the past have proven. And you can bet your bottom dollar that there are McCann jokes out there too. It won't be long before people are telling them on stage, and they will get the usual mix of 'oohs' and laughs. Thats the society we live in.

As for TFP. I think he is pretty damn funny, most of the time. But even the funniest people dont appeal to everyone all of the time.

Fair play to the lad - he's extremely funny.

 

Usually I think he is trying too hard to be funny. Was going to post last week to say that for once he had actually made me laugh with his Friday Feyt neet tag team special thinga-mi-jig. As with all would be comics, he resorts to bad taste and vulgarity to get laughs.

 

Now Gaz, he's really funny. And that Airtyke bloke too. Though he's grown up a bit recently as he doesn't do the "Phhhffffttt !!" post anymore.
