I’m hoping I can login to the Sky Sports app so I don’t lose my recordings and don’t have to extend my contract. Virgin says you can have a free upgrade and a free remote but don’t mention they’ll extend your contract - something I’m wary of if they intend to start charging me for TNT later this year.
Thanks - guess I will have to investigate at the weekend, going to the Match on Friday so dont need to watch or record wonder if there will still be a full match replay option anywhere
I was out of contract with them from last June. They have so far rolled this over (plus their iniquitous inflation-linked upgrade) so I continue to get BT Sports/TNT bundled with the Sky Sports services for the same fairly reasonable price. They send me reminders about a new contract from time to time, which I ignore. I suppose with the contractual period having ended they could withdraw my deal at any time, but for now we toddle along on the same terms.
Just got the new Virgin remote and it's nice and easy to use The BFC game is there (12 League 1 games in all over the weekend, the others kicking off at 5.30), ready and waiting beyond the red button. No use to me this time cos I'm going. Surely though this is going to impact on attendances? I wonder what % of a football crowd is liable to be swayed by this. Championship games at 12.30pm, League 2 at 3pm. All there. To be watched. Seems as though for the rest of the season we are by default back to 3pm on Saturdays - is this correct?
Sky Sports+ now up and running on Virgin Channel 508. There's more info here: How To Get Sky Sports+ On Virgin TV | Virgin Media
Or on the app that's been added to sky Q box. The red button seems to just navigate you directly to the app
