Have you seen how busy Sports Direct is on a Saturday? The reality is British people want stuff as cheap as possible - and that means manufacturing overseas.

Visit any of the old industrial cities and you will see people dressed in their Primark clothing, wearning Nike trainers, and listening to their iPhones. All made by cheap Asian labour. Do you really think anyone would pay twice the price for it to be made in Britain?

Blame consumers, not companies or governments.

All this gives me a good old laugh. People go on about global warming, our countryside is blighted with wind turbines, it's green this and green that, and yet British companies are producing (on the whole crap) goods in China and India, and sending them by vessels that burn the worst form of crude diesel. This is being Green, I think not.

Not buying that, people want cheap stuff cos they can't afford paying twice over for the same thing cos all the jobs have been sold off overseas. "Buy British" used to be the government's saying on telly didn't it? We can't now everything's all foreign because of the pure greed of these businesses/companies. The blame Joe Public mentality is pure ignorance and on par with Conservative naivety.

Most of these companies don't even pay their tax. Suppose that's our fault as well?
