Thanks Mark, I'd forgot about the Droid 4. I looked at it briefly and then got distracted by the Blackberry.
you could always use these on a touch scree, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ECCFK52/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I use them and they are really quite good
I am considering that option with a budget phone. It's making me feel quite physically sick looking at the prices of phones both with and without contracts! I currently spend about £15 every two months topping up my PAYG non-smart phone. I may have to go for a different design of stylus though, I thought the ones in the link were joke ones at first, all I can see are colourful applicator tampons
check out Tesco, they are doing some very good deals on contract. I only pay £8:50 and that gets me a decent usage. I had a Samsung smart phone , but the I got it upgraded for FREE after 18 months To the very good alcatel Pixi 4 (which had only been out a few weeks when I got it).
I do still love it but it's starting to fail a little bit on me now. Occassionally the screen will just go all white or all black for a few seconds and sometimes it says that the sim can't be recognised. It's a sad, sad time.
Actually you can get the X-10 Mini Pro quite cheap on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...Xx10+mini+pro.TRS0&_nkw=x10+mini+pro&_sacat=0
Hello JamDrop. Found out there's actually 2 Xperia Mini Pro The X10 Mini Pro with 2.55 inch screen runs at 600 Mhz The Xperia Mini Pro (AKA SK17i) with 3 inch screen runs at 1 Ghz The latter is the one to go for and you can get it with 1 year warranty here for only £35: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-Eric...773575?hash=item48a085e047:g:yecAAOSwh3NZgw9v They had black and white ones available too but may have sold them, you'll not get a better phone with a keyboard except for a Blackberry and this is Android and can be updated to Android 4.0 here http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/software/
Is that like the screens at Argos where you have to keep jabbing and jabbing at them? Because I wouldn't want one.
No I hadn't as I'd never heard of it to be honest but it does make an interesting thought. Quite often touchscreens seem to not know I exist. Saying that though, I'd struggle to jab it with much force when I've lost all feeling. I know my hand is still there as I can see it (and feel the pain) but it's like when your foot goes numb and you can't stand on it. It's still there but it just doesn't function as a foot anymore, it's like controlling a piece of jelly.
I'm really appreciating your help 36 Chambers! I was considering waiting for my 30th in December and getting a more expensive one as a joint birthday/christmas present but it might be worth getting a cheap one from ebay in the mean time to see how I get on with them in general.
You're more than welcome to go down to Carphone Warehouse and ask to try out phones, can even buy and get your money back if you don't like it within a week. Better than buying on eBay and losing out. Yeah resistive sounds the way to go then if you would otherwise be getting physical buttons which you wouldn't be able to feel and have to press on with a little force anyway?
This is the best keyboard phone currently but so expensive: https://www.carphonewarehouse.com/blackberry/keyone.html#!colour=silver&capacity=32GB&dealType=pm
Yeah I spotted that but couldn't justify it I'm afraid. I think a Priv for my birthday is the way to go, I do love the old sliding action!
