It would make a bit of a difference though and like tesco say, every little helps. Of course the alternative is to have the half day on a wednesday or something (traditionally the quietest day of the week for shopping) and open for a full day on saturday.

    I like it..........

A thread proposing a ban on club bashing turns into a club bashing thread!

    This debate's expanding

from having to wait cos you renew at the last minute to other matters.

The 0870 number system is in my opinion an absolute disgrace. There are ways round it like.

Sometimes things are as difficult as you want to make them.

    I've just had a thought

Yes I know, thats not like me.

Like you just said, the club should offer better incentives to renew early, they should offer a payment plan, and people should start planning for next seasons ticket now if they struggle to find the cash in such a short space of time as the close season. So maybe the club could combine all three points and start a season ticket saving scheme?

I've no idea whether they've done it before or if its been suggested on here but a system where fans can pay say X amount a week throughout the year which goes towards the cost of their ticket for next season could be really popular. It would help fans to budget and save the strain of such a large payment next June and would give the club extra income early which can only be a good thing. They could offer an incentive like sign up to the scheme and get next seasons ticket for the same price as this season or get 5% off or something.

look at the Triangle of blame

And there are some folk who don't want solutions, but would rather be victims all the time.

Can I offer a simple solution, one that I did......

I haven't got a credit card, and don't want one...
I couldn't have paid £300 in one go (out of one months wage) and agree with your end of month pay coment...

    But....

Having bought a season ticket last year (year before that etc etc)....

All I have to do now is save, 20/30 quid a month and then when renewal is due next year, I don't have to fork out all in one go, as I have the majority already saved...

Is it really that simple to budget????

only time this becomes a problem is your first purchase, if you already have one and want to renew, thats when I have no sympathy, as you have already had 12 months to at least save towards the next one...

It's alright Terry, no need to worry, I composed the message in character and everything. I drew a **** on a post-it note before I pressed 'submit'.
