    Must have doubled his seasons total then.. Very poor return from him in this league. Wasn't rated by Mic McCarthy at this level either.

    I was very confused by this thread, in particular this post and your subsequent post until I realised I have a couple of people on 'ìgnore' one of whom is Pompey_red. It is a shame that ignore cannot be configured to only 'ignore' direct responses to one's own posts rather than every post in every thread. Otherwise it can sometimes look like someone has lost the plot talking to an imaginary friend or adversary:confused:

    This threads mental.

    For weeks many of us have said Halme should be playing instead of Anderson, after weeks without a win Struber finally drops Anderson for Halme & we keep a clean sheet & win 3-0 & we’re now supposed to pretend he’s some kind of genius? What kind of logic are we using here?

    He did rate him he just wasn’t getting in the team as at that time they had McGoldrick & Waghorn up top. He loaned him out to get games & then they made a huge profit on a player who wasn’t going to start ahead of either of them two.

    If he rated him that highly he wouldn't have commented on how fans used to laugh when he finally got his head to a ball. Never spoke highly of him.

    Just to add..

    Schmidt has played 319 mins (Champ) mostly off the bench so not had the chance to gain any momento.
    He has scored 2 goals so comes in at 159.5 mins per goal.

    Moore for Wigan played 1645 mins (Champ) scored 5 goals.. 329 mins per goal..

    If Schmidt played regular (not saying he should by the way), and continued his current return rate, he would have just hit double figures goal wise.
