Yes But he still needs to develop as a manager. Signed some good players, kept us up against the odds and we are performing above expectations this season.
Yes shows all the signs of being a top top manager imho. an eye for talent, clear idea on whats needed to build a strong Championship side, takes no messing, works his nuts off watching players, never satisfied, constantly looking to improve, embraces modern coaching techniques, attention to detail to ensure the teams as well prepared as possible, commands the respect of the players and his peers, good working relationship with the board and a very driven and determined man. much better than anything we've had in recent times.
5 subs, no keeper. Making Bobby Hassell look crap. Strange formations He's a long way to go yet. Not the genius a few seem to think, but he's learning. </p> Stick with him.</p>
No mate, just that with one little statement people are posting as if they'd like to kill each other, just find it amusing.
STICK WITH HIM... ARE YOU MAD ????? have a manager for more than eighteen months, bring stability and allow a manager to develop his squad ?? Nah... boot him out and get Dennis Wise called to be sports psychitrist (sp) with Basset as tea boy... you know it's right , you know it's the future.</p> I have to say young Harthog, you disappoint me I thought you knew about football from outside the game, 'tis obvious I was wrong.</p>
Well You see, I'm quite happy to let Simon Davey make mistakes ( as anyone learning their trade would ) as long as he learns from them, because I think BFC will benefit in future. </p> It must be difficult for the uptight ones amongst us who revelled in belittling our former manager and heralded the golden era of Simon when Mr Davey slips up or the team underperforms. They must get quite nervous and come out with quite stupid statements. In between saying Kevin Keegan was an overrated footballer.</p>
I'm happy Wise is at Newcastle And I don't think Bassett has the drive for club management anymore. And he's too many opinions to be our manager.
As the oracle that is E I Addio once said ....... "Don't want him out. Just never wanted him in"</p> Very true words I thought at the time. </p> But now he's here to stay, he needs some help, and not just from Ryan Kidd (who seems to be doing a good job). So enter one Dave Bassett ! To help them along.</p> Have that.</p>
