That's right One wrong decision. huddersfield, liverpool, chelsea, team photo, marketing, merchandising principles, advertising (lack of) etc I'm glad he only made one tiny oopsy that he apologised for straight away.
yes. I have to agree there although I am of the opinion that he had little choice in the matter. Mr. Rowing is the kind of man needed, not someone like Peter Ridsdale. My impression of him is that he will do what he is told and will jump whenever he is told to. I do not think this will change now that he is a director. This is only a technicality. I'm sure he will continue to do a steady job. What confuses me is that everyone seems to have nothing but praise for Mr. Shepherd who played an overseeing role. Mr. Rowing seems to have been the most hands on man? Am I incorrect?
RE: He didnt apologise I said it takes a storng [erson to stand up and take the BLAME! Never said he applogised. Jesus, give the guy a break! Why not just for one season, lets all get behind the club instaed of pulling everyone and everything down
You said one mistake, we all know he made more than one and they were pretty big mistakes to make as well. I know it and you know it
I think the difference is that it was the day to day things that the club kept getting wrong, their dealings with customers, day to day policies etc and had it not been for the financial planning of gordon shepherd he would have got a lot more stick too. The financial side and long term plans by GS went well. The day to day was corner shop stuff.
RE: You said one mistake, we all know he made more than one Well i disagree with you. I would agree that you seem to know it! You seem to know it all. Perhaps you could share some of this knowlege with Don and explain to him why you think he's doing such a poor job. But we already know you don't have the ****** for that do you ? Happy to sit and slag him off behind your keyboard having had no real dealings with the man.
I have had dealings with him thanks But cheers for that. So you disagree that he has made more than one mistake in his time at BFC?
to the supporters trust meeting with a tiny minority of barnsley fans present? Or to barnsley supporters as a whole via his official statement reflecting on things?
Not at all I do know that he made a lot of mistakes and I think you're the only one claiming that he made only one
RE: I have had dealings with him thanks I'm sure he's made mistakes. We all do (apart from you it seems!). Im sure there are ways we could all do our jobs better but then this is only part of what you are talking about. THe club only has about a third of the resources (staff) available to it fom when we were heamorraging money back in the preadmin times. I'm afraid we aren't going to maintain the level of service in all areas with such a huge reduction in resource. That said, I'd say the club have done well considering such a hefty cut in staff. So I disagree with your assessment of the club being run poorly on a day to day basis. In fact, I'd say the opposite.
I make mistakes, lots of them and I admit to them when I make them. I know that the club has cut back on staff (i remember GS mentioning it in his pre season notes a few years ago) but I don't think this excuses the policys etc that have been made or the rudeness that I have experienced from him.
