Fantastic day - how is this miserable Great win how is this miserable Let's make sure we get promoted how is this miserable
The words used, were fine. Its the condescending tone of the thread title that has rubbed people up the wrong way. To most Tarn fans the JPT means the world to them(first trophy won in most probable EVERY living fans lifetime), and calling it a pantomime is an insult. And to be honest, i think the reaction you have received has a lot to do with your general posting style. You have a bit of a rep for being negative, so people automatically see things you post negatively.
I guess we all need reassurance that our existence in the world has meaning. Some people clearly derive that comfort from making deliberately divisive and downright stupid comments on message boards and then revelling in the attention they receive as a result.
Things have just started to make sense. Whenever a Tarn player had the ball, and an opposition player closed them down on their blind side, the fans all shouted "He's behind you" instead of "Man On".
I never thought I'd see such a weekend in my lifetime and it's one that will forever live in the memory.
Wasn't it great to see a BARNSLEY team walk up the steps at Wembley and lift a trophy!!!! Almost surreal. It was a fabulous day.
You've been criticised for being a killjoy. Calling it a pantomime or a sideshow is also inaccurate. The games we've won in the JPT have been a catalyst for the run we've had in the league. The JPT run started when we couldn't buy a win elsewhere.
