Hecky gave whitey no inclination (in his slightly inhebriated exchange) of us going in for tommy bradshaw but we did the day after. Seems old hecky is a wise head on young shoulders when it comes to transfer speculation.
This clamour for Isgrove, cards on the table hes a good player..no question and the performances he put in the last few games were remarkable but I remember watching him against Chesterfield at home, which was only a few games before end of the season and thought he was average at best and apart from the obvious goal, his end product is questionable. Dont get me wrong hes a top player, but not end of the world if we get someone else in who may score a few more. Just saying like....

Totally agree. Love Isgrove and think he would be a great championship player with regards our pressing from the front, harrying the opposition etc.

Reason I think we may go for both is last year we had Hammill, Isgrove, Watkins and Chapman on wing. we haven't really signed an out and out winger to replace Isgrove or Champman. Yes we have a few lads who can play there but if we got Jinty permenant and Isgrove (or Kent) on loan we would have 4 out and out wingers.

Then up top we have Winnall, Bradshaw, Lee and the non league contingent.

Looks decent enough as long as we get these extra bodies in.

    In Hecky we trust

You can say that again - they were the team that gave Frimpong the opportunity to continue stealing a living!

Well Jinty hasn't trained since April and yet I heard that he was still the fastest player (by a mile) to do the Oakwell speed test! I think we are playing cat and mouse just like we did with Bradshaw.

I think that Jinty would be a better option. He's got a much better scoring record, is quicker (apparently) and would probably cost us less as British players are generally overpriced.

He's waiting to see if the Barnsley women are up to scratch. He doesn't want to make the same mistake as Hristov.

I think the top two leagues where he's played are better than our third tier.

From his fans twitter account when I asked for information:

Jinty Caenepeel is a young talent and he is incredible fast! Jinty used to play for KAA Gent, but he wasn't good enough for the starting 11. KAA Gent got 2-3 times a offer from Juventus, but they refused it. After 2 years "playing" for KAA Gent he got injured, Gent didn't want to go further with him, and Jinty had the chance to break his contract. Then he went to FC Eindhoven. For FC Eindhoven he was an amazing football player. (Mostly because of his speed and ball control). But at the end of the season he played not as good as before.
I think it is a great choice from Barnsley to buy him.
If the players/coach from Barnsley use his speed in the right way, he will be deathly for the opponents defense.
(Jinty Caenepeel plays as a right winger, but from my opinion he would also be very good at central forward.

He got a lot of offers when he was at KAA Gent, but after he got injured there where a lot of clubs that didn't want him anymore because he had the injury. FC Eindhoven took him transfer free and let him recover. When he recovered he played really good. I heard people saying that there was interest from the dutch first devision, Russian league, England, Italy, Spain and Germany.

The weaknesses from Jinty... If he can't use his speed, he won't play really that good. Also he gets fast yellow cards (by kicking the ball away, etc) but mostly he plays very good!

I do enjoy seeing all the lads who have Mr Cryne on Facebook trying their best not to blatantly copy what he's put and temper posts with 'I understand...' or 'It seems like...'. You are not worthy of The Tribe.

Other clubs with more financial clout want him. A Russian club was mentioned I think.

Fastest player we've ever had at Oakwell by a distance.

Cheers. Seems like pace is important what with Kayden Jackson I think being touted as fastest we'd ever had. Assume our thoughts are you can't teach pace but if you improve other areas then you may have a decent player
