So you should. Its one of my pet hates, season ticket holders travelling away to just the big games. Priority to away games should be given by the number of away stubs you hold.
damn right!!!!!!!!!! am i pissed off or what!!!! no telephone bookings!!!!!!! total and utter B*ll*cks. i've missed 4 games all season and now i have to book a day off work to get the tickets utter *****!
What's wrong with wife beating? Happens the length and breadth of the country. Hardly a new thing is it?
RE: The dodgy logic is exactly the same. I'm sure that you'd like to think that on some level I believe you have a point Windy, but I don't not on any level whatsoever. No point debating it with you. You're clearly entrenched in your views and absolutely nothing you say would convince me that there is anything single thing whatsoever wrong with the club prioritising season ticket holders. I agree with it entirely, I think they club are quite right, and I believe that anyone who expects otherwise is being naieve. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
So how would that work if we had a really big away game at start of season? Either get a season ticket or find someone who has...problem solved. Now how about bringing back the category of season ticket holder based on how long you have held a ST? I used to be the top category.
it's not that the point is is that whereas the club bends over backwards for season ticket holders about opening times, the rest of us have book a day off work to get tickets i know i'm unusual in that am i a none season ticket holder who has seen 44 games but i'm pissed off. no telephone bookings so i have a 240 mile round trip to do get tickets
RE: What's wrong with wife beating? Good try oh blustery one ... 92 clubs of 92 clubs will give priority to ST holders, a 100% ratio ... are you suggesting that 100% of males beat their wives/partners ... somert you want to get off your chest there?
Fair enough...........I'd probably feel the same as you in the circumstances but I'm not going to apologise for going to the game last night.
I was cat B. Big away games should go off how many away games you have attended during the season. Not season ticket holders first as the worms come out to play.
You're not really that stupid are you? Can you really not see that I'm giving a simple example of your twisted logic?
RE: it's not that I've every sympathy for you on that one jock, no reason that I can see why opening times shouldn't be consistent throughout. I suppose the clubs answer on that one would be that they expect demand to drop so couldn't justify keeping staff on when the 'busy' period ends. The thrust of the thread though was "Once again I bet those young lads who can't afford to fork out for the season all at once but have hardly missed a match are feeling well appreciated. Those wet Tuesday nights at the arse end of the country supporting the reds to where they are now will seem well worth while." My whole point is that those "young lads who cant afford season tickets" have absolutely no complaints to make. The travel for you I can sympathise with but the club can't please everyone can they. If they allowed people outside a 50 mile radius to book by telephone then everyone inside that radius would be up in arms.
I don't think you're unusual at all. OD's theory that it must be right because it's always been done that way is moronic B*ll*cks.
RE: You're not really that stupid are you? What you believe to be "twisted logic" ... cut through all the crap Windy and you are saying that the club are wrong to priorities season ticket holders. I don't agree ... simple as that.
But what if I can't afford to go to loads of away games........of course I'd want to go to a big one. Might as well say those who have been to 20 away games have had their share, let someone go who hasn't been to one.....either way it's valid. This argument comes about time and again, ok perhaps 4 tickets is excessive....2 would be reasonable so at least a ST holder could ensure they were ditting with a mate and less chance of "non-fans" getting the tickets but there has to be a way to prioritise and the season tickets one is as good as any. I suppose the 4 per ST holder is a way of shifting the most tickets whilst dealing with the fewest number of transactions. Very few ST holders will claim their full allocation (as I said of the 3 tickets I'll go down with we are taking 8 tickets), I'd think the average taken will be 3 per ticket so 18,000 tickets....of those extra sold I'd wager that the large majority are going to regular fans.
