So no more bin "calendars" from Barnsley council..

    Didn't know that. Seems like it would be a vital service to many too. Considering it's two weeks worth of waste in the bin. My next door neighbour would likely need this service if it wasn't for the fact that I pull it up the drive for him.

    I do it for my neighbours but it’s a shame not every one has someone. They are still running it but are making it chargeable

    Harsh I assume it a result of the budget being cut further. I imagine a lot of the people who need this service are not exactly awash with disposable income too.

    I once put wrong bin out on purpose the night before, then switched them on my way to work in the morning. Street was carnage.

    Seriously though, you should help out your neighbours. Living in a flat that isn't so easy, but I help out the older folks in my block & they help me by signing for loads of records that I seem to end up getting delivered, either through choice or chance.
