I don't know where your confidence that we'll stay up comes from mate.

We're 2 points off the drop zone with Leicester, Leeds, Stoke, Hull and Wednesday all below us and capable of turning their seasons around.

If we don't strengthen this squad we're sunk.

RE: I don't know where your confidence that we'll stay up comes from mate.

Well I suppose I am a little more optimistic than most, but basically from what we've seen of this side so far it appears to me that we're capable of causing problems from the sides supposed to be contenders for promotion, and the last two games, well, yes we've lost, but you can blame two goalie errors quite directly. I think we have a mentality where we swing from being euphoric to being incredibly depressed - and actually we're neither very good nor very bad. This year there will be teams who are both very good and very bad (better and worse than us) - and I'd be willing to bet (if I were a betting man) that there will be at least four teams worse than us this year (and I mean that in cold hard points).

I just feel that we need the courage to sit tight for a while and see how things unfold - we're not staring down the barrel of relegation quite yet.

RE: A lack of investment in the team will be the downfall.

that picture of Ridsdale you've got sends shivers down my spine - we got away lucky there. I'd rather have a cautious chairman than one who is willing to gamble and play fast and loose. He'll ruin Cardiff.

I agree, I'd have stretched a little further if possible to get Chopra - our fans already know and love him, and he is quality that will end up going to the premier league for an inevitable profit (somebody will sign him at some point for £5 million quid I'm sure). That being said, Chopra is exceptional, and I wouldn't be gambling on unproven 'potential'.

In Riddys defence , Cardiff are already ruined ,

they have 1 shot at going up , if they dont they will go out of business.

And even if they do go up their financial position will still be precarious.

    Thats not quite true.

The Bank would stand to be the biggest loser and will simply not pull the plug on teams like Bradford,Cardiff,Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday for this reason.

Sam Hamman has skinted Cardiff, whilst retaining the ownership of the ground, a la Wimbledon

Once the Rules are fixed where financial solvency is a must

a more level playing field will ensue.
