So then, are the internet experts REALLY questioning Ritchie (and Holden's ) judgement ?

RE: How is their ability to attract players to the club in question ?

I think GS said we were one of the top four clubs in League 1 in terms of wage expenditure last year.
Looking at some figures from a anonymous survey on players wages...
Championship players earn an average salary of £195,750, League One players £67,850 and League Two £49,600.

I'd guess we were paying around a hundred thousand last year on average. And probably similar this year.
What was our player's wages expenditure last year? Is it published? and how many first teamers did we have on the books?

Fair enough. But do you think that's been done deliberately to get us relegated/stitch Ritchie up/annoy fans ?

In an ideal world I would have but the club are in competition with other teams for these players and as I've said, if Ritchie's waiting to see how his team performs first then I'll go along with it. He's got us this far.

Trust GS, trust AR and RH and get behind the lads!!

Season hasn't even started yet. Let's get behind the lads and make sure we all survive in the Championship. Nuff said

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    Yes I am.

Guilty? No way. As I explained at the time, I was trying to point the way with the only thing I had available seeing as my hands were full. That's all.

The Nursery school teacher said she understood, but the kids still can't eat Walnut Whips without bursting into tears.

No, course it hasn't been done deliberately

Doesn't mean I'm happy with how things have worked out though. Nor does it mean I'm ranting and raving and blaming people left, right and centre.

As for the wait and see policy, I think that's very dangerous. IMHO the squad is just not up to it at present. I'd love to be proved wrong, but if we lose the first 4 or 5 games and Ritchie realises we haven't got what it takes, he'll have very little time, with the transfer window closing, to put things right. Alternatively, we could do OK at first, but just a couple of injuries in key positions (central midfield and centre half particularly) would leave us in a very vunerable position.

I just don't think the current squad has enough experience, quality or strength in depth to survive a hard season of championship football. We need another 3 or 4 players.

But what the **** do I know.

Maybe we're saving our cash until other clubs decide who they want to loan out. That would make more sense than buying contracts at the moment.

Yes but are you being proactive or reactive in taking that stance ?
