Yup, that's what's fannied us, apparently they're all wrong and he's 22. Unless Cowdenbeath are telling porkies, but as it only takes a quick look at his birth certificate to prove things one way or another, I can't see them trying that on. Someone, somewhere will have made a mistake when reporting his date of birth, probably a slip of the finger and they typed 1991 instead of 1992. A couple of people used that as their source, which was in turn used as a source and so on and so on. Everyone believe he's 23, but really he's 22.

Later, a third fact you'd be given about Bob Holness was that he was the first actor to play James Bond (he did a radio play in South Africa) but it turns out that wasn't true either as two years earlier CBS in the USA had produced an episode of Casion Royal. In another twist, it appears Stuart Maconie is crediting himself with far too much influence and the urban myth was going long before he wrote it in the 90s. People say ****, it gets repeated and becomes fact. We sign a 23 year old thinking we've got him for free, but it turns out he's 22 and we have to pay for him. I wonder if, at any point, anyone actually asked how old he is?

The rule is a FIFA rule so is relevant to every member of FIFA. How does any club fail to understand that ?

Secondly, it won't be much. Kane Hemmings was at Cowden for one season only after his release by
Rangers. The compensation relates to development costs so one season of development for Cowdenbeath and although we could argue we have turned him into a world class striker, a tribunal might not support that. The clubs have 3 weeks to agree a fee then it goes to a tribunal for compensation to be set.
I would think we would accept a small fee and maybe a slice of any future transfer.

 

Who said the club doesn't understand it? It's the fans on here debating it, it's not like Danny or Ben have started a thread asking for our advice on the matter is it?
