That

Is the biggest pile of wnak I've ever heard, probably made up by Germain Greer or some other man hating femenist. It's quite clearly utter ****.

And don't go thinking you've got away with suggesting that Spanish is the first language for the majority of Americans.

    I did read it somewhere....

....but it may have been about Miami not America, I did a non-scientific scale up. And yup it was a very silly thing to say. I think every time I get above my station you should just mention the word 'Spanish', should bring me down a peg or two.

BTW I also was under the impression that Barbary apes were not monkeys until told to check.

I'd already been there yesterday (or some 2000 consensus place)

    Saw this

    From

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami,_Florida#Demographics

'A wide variety of languages are commonly spoken throughout the city. The City of Miami has three official languages - English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Other languages that are spoken throughout the city include Afrikaans, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, and Russian. Miami has one of the largest populations in the U.S. (74%) of people who speak another language other than English at home.'

The statement that Spanish is the first language of more people than English in the US is still B*ll*cks tho'.
