Also I think that the player isn't an international/ex international it would have been in the article if he was
RE: Also I think that the player isn't an international/ex international Use Soccerbase to check all current Premiership teams and the players they have released over the past 2 seasons. Then check those individual player records to see if they have been sent off. Then check the individual game record to see if 3 other players were also booked. I suspect there can't be many. Easy ;-)
RE: good thinking This is better but server is overloaded now! http://www.football-lineups.com/tourn/FA_Premier_League_2006-2007/Stats/Discipline/
nice one. Phil Bardsley? Played in the prem and got sent off for rangers (british game rather than english as per the article), rangers lost the game and more than three players got booked. He's also got previous history for gambling http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=495106 http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_obj...pay-off--700-000-gambling-debt-name_page.html
RE: nice one. Phil Bardsley? He's a current Premiership player though and the reports say former. Thought you'd cracked it then!
This one could be interesting Djemba-Djemba Played for Burnley last year and got sent off in a match against Derby. Three others got booked... one which was Stephen Foster Does he fit the bill?
Lee McCulloch, now with Rangers, former Prem player. Red carded for Wigan against Sheff Utd, three other players received yellow cards.
RE: This one could be interesting from the BBC match report "The game was competitive but fair and the decision to send Djemba-Djemba off was ridiculous. "And, to make matters worse, I get sent off for asking Mo Camara why he pushed Kyle Lafferty. They'll say somewhere along the line I used some language - no chance. "Do we take the passion out of the game - because if we do the fans'll stop coming? Did Djemba-Djemba deserve to be sent off? No. Did Billy Davies? No."
