He put a shift in for 90 mins and played alright, got a goal, a decent one too. Jennings had an excellent game, again, as did Cranie, Ramage, and a couple of others but MOM is the sponsors choice and they went for him. To suggest he was crap is nonsense though.

Showed flashes of quality, tested Butland with a typical Jacob cracker. Faded second half (lack of games, match sharpness). I'd give him a 7/10. Needs this to be the start of a run of games, but doubt this manager will give him them. And so, Boro will never see the best of him.

Nice to see him play though.


And nice to see Butland do well, although I would have preferred him to have let that JB effort slip through fingers, like.
